accessibility

our commitment

Mansfield Ski Club (MSC) is committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive and diverse environment where all individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other characteristic, are treated with respect and dignity. The below outlines the principles and practices that guide MSC in ensuring equal opportunity and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within our organization.

feedback

We appreciate any and all feedback on accessibility issues and policies at MSC.  For more information, please call us at 705 435 3838 ext 230.  You can also e-mail any questions or concerns regarding accessibility to Human Resources.

communication

  • Assistive Devices: A person with a disability may provide their own assistive device for the purpose of obtaining, using and benefiting from any of our activities or services.  Exceptions may occur in situations where we determine the device may pose a risk to the health and safety of a person with a disability, or to the health and safety of others at the Club.  If you have an assistive device that is excluded, please inquire with the staff at Front Desk to see if an alternative arrangement can be made.
  • General Communication: We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability, including but not limited to telephone, email and in-person communication.

parking

Designated disabled parking spaces are located in both upper and lower parking lots, with easy access to buildings. These spaces are identifiable with signage. Please note you must display a government issued Accessible Parking Permit in your vehicle.

  • Four parking spots in the upper parking lot
  • Four parking spots in the lower parking lot

employment

MSC is committed to supporting a culture of diversity and inclusiveness across the organization. We believe in equal opportunity and it is our priority to ensure a barrier-free recruitment and selection process. Should you require accommodation in relation to any of the materials or processes used during the recruitment and selection process, please notify Human Resources. Mansfield Ski Club will make every effort to accommodate persons with disabilities in a timely, effective and suitable manner.

additional support

  • Service Animals: We welcome any people with disabilities and their service animals to MSC. Service animals are allowed on parts of the premises that are open to the public. Due to safety concerns, service animals are not permitted on any ski lift or alpine ski trail. Service animals are also not permitted in any area where food preparation or storage occurs.
  • Support Persons: Any person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that person accompany them on MSC property. Lift ticket fees will not be charged for support persons. Support persons must check in at the Front Desk to be issued a valid complimentary ticket.
