Lada brings a unique blend of academic expertise and operational leadership to the Board of Directors. With a foundation as a master’s level student and physiotherapist, she currently holds the position of Senior Manager of Operations at the University Health Network – Altum Health. Leveraging her enthusiasm for skiing, Lada possesses a Level 2 ski instructor and coach certification, and devoted 12 years to coaching at Mansfield during her university studies and early career. Her commitment to the club spans nine years, marked by cherished moments with her family. These experiences, combined with her professional background, provide Lada with a comprehensive skill set to oversee the prudent and effective management of the beloved Mansfield Ski Club. She is dedicated to ensuring an exceptional experience for all members both on and off the slopes.
With over two decades of distinguished legal practice, Scot brings invaluable expertise as a lawyer and trademark agent. Scot has served as the principal legal advisor to a diverse portfolio of companies, offering strategic counsel directly to owner-managers, boards and senior executives across various industries. His proven track record in negotiation, problem-solving, and dispute management, will prove invaluable, ensuring the Club’s strategic direction is built on prudent, efficient and effective management.
Dr. John Preiner, MD, FRCSC has run a busy surgical practice for twenty-one years, is currently Chief of the Division of Urology at Southlake Regional Health Centre, and actively involved with the Canadian Urologic Association. In addition to skiing, he is an avid cyclist and musician. John has been a member at Mansfield with his wife Giulia, and his sons Stefan who is now racing FIS, and Matteus who is involved with the freestyle program. He has been pleased to volunteer on the club’s Board of Directors since the fall of 2022. He has a genuine love for this community, and is grateful for the many friendships he and his family have made. He is eager to see the club grow to its full potential – both the on snow experience and the vibrant social program. Kris, a highly seasoned marketing professional, brings over two decades of strategic expertise in both traditional and digital marketing to our Board of Directors. His pivotal contributions to the growth of several leading regional and national Canadian brands reflect a deep comprehension of market dynamics and an ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving business environment. Kris’s entrepreneurial spirit, combined with his track record in effective marketing execution, positions him as a vital asset for driving the club’s growth and enhancing member engagement.
Pierre is the CEO of Timeless Stonework, an Ontario based construction company specializing in luxury residential masonry projects. With over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience, and an education as an engineering technologist, Pierre brings to the MSC Board valuable insight in the areas of project management, construction execution, sales acquisitions, and financial control. Pierre believes strongly in a balanced lifestyle, including healthy and fun activities spent with friends and family; a core value shared with many other members at Mansfield Ski Club.
Jeremy is a Chartered Professional Accountant, bringing his experience as a leader and partner at a global accounting firm to the Board. His career focus has been on advising privately owned organizations on financial and business matters. A member at Mansfield since 2020 with his wife, Lara, and two children, Will and Lucy, Jeremy is passionate about the Mansfield community, and is eager to contribute to the long-term success of the club for years to come.
Malcolm and his family started skiing at Mansfield in 2012 and two of his four daughters are still in the racing program. Malcolm is the President of Agway Metals and has spent the majority of his professional career in the building materials industry focusing on the areas of growth and strategy. He is also the Chair of the LIGHTS Advisory Board which provides housing solutions for the intellectually disabled.
With 19+ years of program planning, management, and operations oversight experience, Leslie’s expertise includes planning, permitting, auditing, reporting and project management with a focus on sustainability and regulatory compliance for both operating assets and development projects. Leslie enjoys working in fast-paced environments requiring innovation and a broad set of management skills.
Samantha is a litigator who delivers sincerity and strategic foresight. Samantha has more than a decade of experience in business disputes, real estate disputes and professional liability claims. She is a business minded litigator who offers a customized litigation experience for her clients. She actively listens to her clients concerns, examines the big picture, and proactively problem-solves.
Samantha is the past Chair of the civil litigation section executive of the
Ontario Bar Association and has chaired many professional development
programs for early and mid career lawyers on professional liability claims,
business development and practice management.
Samantha has acted as counsel in trials and motions for summary judgment involving solicitor negligence claims, disputes over breached real estate agreements, and other contractual disputes before the Ontario Superior Court, the Court of Appeal for Ontario the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
Samantha graduated from the Executive MBA program at the Ivey School of Business. At Folgers, Samantha is co-chair of the Fogler’s Business Development Committee and is excited to train early-career lawyers on the business of lawyering.
Her family joined Mansfield in 2014 and have since been active participates in development and race programs, club events and apres activities.
Adrian Lightstone is a Senior Vice President at CPCS, a global infrastructure consulting firm. He leads the business in Canada, US, and UK, with a focus on major transportation projects. Adrian has a Master of Science and Economics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden, as well a Bachelor of Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University.
Adrian grew up skiing in Ottawa and has been a member at Mansfield since 2021, along with his wife, Astrid, and two children, Adeline and Linden. He loves spending time outside with his family and is focussed on the long term success and community of the club.
Ian and his family (Heather, Cami, and Cal) joined the club in 2024 to teach the kids to ski. With a family home in the area, Mansfield has been part of Heather’s life since she was little. By joining the Board, Ian hopes to positively contribute to the already vibrant Mansfield community.
When not on the hill with the kids, Ian works as a portfolio manager, helping families with strategic financial planning and capital allocation.
After earning a B.A. (Honours) degree in Law from Carleton University, including a year at Sheffield Hallam University Law School in the United Kingdom, Ian turned his attention to business. He started in the Client Service department of a major Canadian asset management firm, before advancing to progressively more senior roles at Canadian and global financial institutions. Prior to starting his current position in 2020, Ian was Vice President and Investment Counsellor at one of the world’s largest financial institutions, where he spent almost four years.
